SUMMARY

Starting with a customer’s first sign up online, the Director of CRM & Lifecycle Marketing will manage the customer journey, building our relationship with our consumers via owned channels such as email, direct mail, and welcome kits. Working with our marketing and inside sales teams, the Director will further develop and segment our communications strategy, ensuring that each customer gets the right type and frequency of communication.

This role will drive the vision and strategy for our CRM efforts to engage customers and deliver business growth through outcomes in increased LTV and higher NPS scores. They will develop and work with team to execute lifecycle retention programs, including segmentation strategy, transactional messaging, triggered programs, and large-scale campaigns through email and offline marketing. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop engagement and attrition reduction strategies that drive usage and sustain revenue and lifetime value of customers (LTV).  
  • Manage a Subscriber Marketing team while working cross-functionally with our Member Services, Marketing, Product, Experience and Analytics to achieve company goals.  
  • Responsible for execution and strategic planning. Ability to transform engagement strategy to be data-driven, with clear targets and measurement for all campaigns, challenges, and communications.  
  • Lead Lifecycle and Retention Marketing, which includes CRM and Referral programs, while working towards overall Nexamp’s growth goals + initiatives. Ensure programs attain targeted ROI.  
  • Strong cross-functional leadership experience with the ability to lead and partner with the Customer Service teams on engagement strategy, leveraging key channels such as social media, email, push, events, promotions and content marketing.  
  • Lead in cultivating a community of customers rooted in the Nexamp brand that builds engagement and collects valuable consumer feedback.  
  • Responsible for driving scalability by implementing best tools & processes. 
  • Have a customer centric mindset. Test and develop segmentation and personalization across channels to provide customers with relevant experiences from acquisition/Lead Gen through retention.  
  • Responsible for driving advocacy specifically by word of mouth and engaging Nexamp’s community while supporting continued growth.  
  • Lead in the creation of personalization and catered content experiences for the Nexamp community based on segmentation, retention risk profile, and engagement metrics.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7-10years marketing experience at DTC companies, CRM, Subscription, or Lifecycle Marketing.  
  • Energy product experience is helpful.  
  • Strong understanding of engagement, retention metrics, and campaign success metrics. 
  • Customer centric, results and growth oriented. 
  • Analytical thinker and data-obsessed. Deep understanding of how to leverage data segmentations and behavioral attributes. 
  • Ability to think strategically and tactically while executing at a detailed level. 
  • Excellent communicator with outstanding ability to present information in easily understood formats. 
  • Ability to think flexibly and test into what works.
