We are looking for a statistics and data integrity specialist. The right person will be one of the gatekeepers for data in and out of HowGood’s database. This candidate will be responsible for building reports and other data outputs for clients, and clean, structure and test all imports. This person will collaborate with both the research and development team in the design and implementation of new sustainability metrics, data management processes and ongoing data import practices. The candidate will have very good communication skills, and will be comfortable participating in a fast moving, business goal driven environment. Applicants should have an interest and excitement in integrating a huge array of different sources, and a passion for sustainability and regenerative agriculture. HowGood’s data complexity is derived from the diversity of sources and the flexibility required to integrate each data source into HowGood’s best in class decision support software. Environmental and social impact data from established international NGO’s is processed alongside pesticide usage report pdf’s at the county level, and the right candidate will be excited by the challenge and ready to creatively problem solve for effective technical solutions to collecting, cleaning, harmonizing and ingesting the information.Looking for candidates who have:Analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to set and meet deadlinesAbility to work independently and with team members from different backgroundsTechnical writing skillsExcellent attention to detailStrong written/verbal communication skills Required Skills:Strong mathematics skills (masters level applied statistics or comparable)Familiarity with data management & reporting tools:● Experience with statistical software (e.g., Stata, SPSS) ● Light coding skills in languages such as SQL, Python and/or R ● Reporting and data visualization skills using software like Kibana or Tableau ● Understanding of data warehousing and ETL techniques Knowledge and comfort with various data wrangling (collection, cleaning, structuring, and enriching techniques)Ability to QA and troubleshoot dataExperience with Mac OS + & Google suiteStrong proficiency in Microsoft ExcelHowGood has the world’s largest sustainability database and has recently completed the build for a new data model that allows for unprecedented flexibility in building metrics that help decision makers the world over understand the impact of their choices.
