Grant Writer - Environment & Poverty

Position Description

As we build, we need help on our grant team in writing grant applications to secure new funding for the organization. To succeed in this role you must be an excellent communicator with technical expertise or have an understanding of technical systems. You must have a great understanding of funding principles and are a deadline-driven team player with outstanding multitasking abilities. Once you are trained, you should be able to articulate Greenstand’s mission and value proposition. You will use a combination of research and writing skills to secure new funding sources and will keep a detailed record of the grants submitted with the support of the current team.

Requirements

• Any experience with grant writing or research. We will ask for at least one work sample.
• Experience with U.S. registered nonprofit organization that operates internationally (preferred)
• Experience writing for USAID or federal government grants (beneficial)
• Great attention to detail including proper grammar and usage
• Strong research & organization skills
• Passion for the environment and/or poverty alleviation
