Experienced Node.js Volunteer Engineer Needed for Conservation Finance Services!
We are building a powerful technical platform that employs some of the world's poorest people to grow forests by paying them for the positive impacts they create. We are entering a major development push this spring, and we need your help to complete some exciting extensions to our existing conservation impact wallet!
If you have a background in express.js, unit/integration testing, and an interest in conservation finance or value chains, this is your chance to have a big impact with a relatively short volunteer commitment by joining this specialized subteam.
Together, our international team of Greenstand Engineers develop a suite of open source services for tracking, managing, and funding the regrowth of the world’s forests! Click through to our onboarding form to learn more!
In return for your support, we can offer:
Greenstand is a fully remote social non-profit organization turning environmental stewardship into a reliable source of income. Our work tackles both extreme poverty and climate change. Our main product is the Treetracker, a mobile app that allows planting organizations and their donors to track the growth of newly planted trees through periodic geotagged photos.
The project is at a really exciting stage and has just been elevated to a Supporting Partner for the United Nations Decade on Ecosystem Restoration. This could not be done without our amazing Greenstanders contributing their skills and time from around the world.
