Job Description

Reporting to the Director of Operations & Maintenance (O&M), the Billing & Performance Management Analyst is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on the performance of energy efficiency service contracts in Redaptive’s portfolio. You will work closely with the Data team and Meter team to analyze and distill performance drivers, the Accounting team to communicate impacts to monthly billing, and the Sales team to facilitate conversations and decision making around billing methodologies and contract adjustments across customer portfolios. You will also build tools and establish processes for ongoing performance tracking and prepare dashboards & materials to communicate contract performance to internal and external audiences. We are looking for someone who is highly organized, analytic, and a creative problem solver, with an acute eye for detail that can work against reoccurring monthly deadlines. 
This position may be done anywhere in the remote USA except Colorado at this time.

Job Responsibilities

  • Review savings data to identify anomalous performance
  • Investigate source meter data to identify drivers of anomalous performance
  • Lead conversations with customer account stakeholders to review abnormally performing contracts & facilitate decision making on required changes to monthly billing structure
  • Help ensure all customer invoices are submitted by the 10th of each month
  • Identify true-up eligible contracts on a monthly basis
  • Aggregate historic performance data for eligible contracts
  • Determine actual performance against contract expectations
  • Conduct discovery on and provide explanations for performance drivers, prepare presentations, and lead conversations with account stakeholders to inform and guide decision making.
  • May be required to lead or participate in conversations with customers regarding contract performance.
  • Work with the Meter and Maintenance teams to understand and communicate impacts of offline meters on contract performance.
  • Proactively identify and communicate performance trends to our Sales team 

Job Requirements/Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science or related quantitative field. Substantial relevant experience also considered.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Proficiency in SQL.
  • Proficiency in Tableau.
  • Knowledge of Python a plus
  • Strong PowerPoint skills along with strong quantitative analysis and Excel skills
  • Prior experience in Measurement & Verification (M&V) preferred
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate to all levels of the organization.
  • Able to coordinate work product across multiple departments
  • Independent and able to work under pressure & tight deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Able to take initiative with ideas and actively help lead the company regarding its strategic approach to contract performance management
  • Interest in furthering the entrepreneurial culture of a “can-do, will-do” work environment; regardless of whether the position description specifically identifies the ask.
  • Have an ergonomically correct and functional work-from-home workstation set up; amenable to working from home for the foreseeable future
