Learn more at<a href="http://www.newenergynexus.com/"> www.newenergynexus.com</a>.</p><p></p><h3><strong>The Opportunity</strong></h3><p>China, as the world’s largest energy consumer and largest greenhouse gas emitter, is responsible for almost a third of global greenhouse gas emissions and thus a key focus geography in which funds need to flow more into climate finance and stop funding dirty energy and related industries and commercial processes. Therefore, New Energy Nexus Shanghai is looking for a Program Manager to manage the implementation of clean energy and climate tech programs in China as well as maintain existing partnerships and develop new business streams.</p><p></p><h3>Key responsibilities include:</h3><ul> <li>Develop a program roadmap based on our Theory of Change. This process involves collecting feedback from the partners and clients as well as drawing upon existing knowledge and experience from existing programs and staff.</li> <li>Build a program roadmap into an actionable plan with deadlines, deliverables, and key milestones.</li> <li>Develop a network of commercial and strategic partners, including utilities, corporates, think tanks and innovation platforms.</li> <li>Support with business development, strategic communications and fundraising to scale projects beyond the pilot phase.</li> <li>Work closely with the Program Director to ensure the delivery of programs are meeting funders mandates and objectives</li> </ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul> <li>Passion to develop innovation programs that accelerate the energy transition, coupled with experience in program design and management in China and abroad</li> <li>Entrepreneurial growth mindset, thriving in a fast-paced work environment that may include, at times, a need to advance solutions in the face of ambiguity and incomplete information with a willingness to learn and adapt quickly.</li> <li>Bachelor education or work experience in accelerator/incubator, program management and execution, and impact investment</li> <li>Experience in synthesizing subject matter expertise acquired through independent research and third-party expert feedback into project strategy and work plans with specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and timely goals</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to thrive in cross-functional or multidisciplinary project teams</li> <li>Ability to manage complex projects as a self-starter with limited supervision.</li> <li>High levels of integrity</li> <li>Fluency in written and spoken English and Mandarin, ability to communicate clearly and effectively with multiple target audiences (investment funds, banks, academia, regulators) and manage multi-stakeholder dialogues for outcomes.
