Tomorrow.io’s ARENA team is responsible for the development of unique RF and SONAR sensing systems, from architecture through implementation. The team is especially focused on developing subsystems in support of Tomorrow.io’s Operation Tomorrow Space, which will collect data to be integrated seamlessly into our existing forecasting and modeling systems, revolutionizing global weather intelligence.

We are seeking a talented Software Quality Assurance Engineer who loves the process of testing and delivering high-quality, reliable, scalable software products that will have a direct impact on Tomorrow.io’s strategic positioning in the market. As a contributor within the ARENA software team, you will play a critical role in the execution of a complex, multidisciplinary system development program. Your responsibilities will include performing manual tests, setting up automated test frameworks for desktop applications, writing test cases in Jira, and designing and executing regression tests. In addition, we are also looking for someone with some level of DevOps experience or the willingness and ability to learn.

What you’ll do:

• Manual and automated testing of the next generation of Tomorrow’s ARENA software applications.
• Work closely with a multidisciplinary engineering team to define, implement and test features to support ARENA software.
• Participate in design and code reviews.
• Planning and estimation of software testing tasks.
• Improve your skills by keeping up on the latest software test tools, techniques and processes.
• Contribute to the company’s engineering culture by implementing best test engineering practices.
• Manage DevOps pipelines, static analysis quality tools, and build servers/agents.

What you bring:

• 5+ years software quality assurance experience
• B.S. Engineering, Computer Science or related field
• Scripting language experience
• Automated SQA (ie Appium)
• Manual Testing, Hardware testing, and debugging experience
• Agile Scrum methodologies experience
• Atlassian tool set
• Jira test case/test plan management (Jira plugin administration)
• Meticulous organizational skills
• You have a strong ownership of your deliverables.

• M.S. in Engineering, Computer Science or related field
• Linux Experience

• Radar familiarity
• Unit Test Harness (ie Qt test)

• Run-time code profiling
• Cross-platform software testing
• DevOps - Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines (ie Jenkins)
• Deployment / build server management
• Release management
• Lab tech work - cables, hardware assembly, etc.
