Job Description

Position Overview

The Manager, Sourcing will act as the team lead responsible for thedeployment of owner-supplied equipment across Invenergy\'s constructionportfolio. This role will follow the procurement lifecycle forindividual renewable energy projects from offtake negotiation throughcommercial operation and will serve as the internal point of contact forall owner-supplied equipment matters at the project level. This positionwill be based in Chicago, Illinois and will report through the Sourcing& Logistics arm of Invenergy\'s Renewable Procurement department.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Sourcing Team Lead - Manage people and process development insupport of the deployment of owner-supplied equipment acrossInvenergy\'s construction portfolio.
  • Supply Contract Management - Oversee implementation of equipmentsupply contracts during project construction and commissioning.Includes delivery scheduling, vendor communication, 3PL interface,invoice verification, and payment follow-through.
  • Construction Management Support - Lead communication with theConstruction Project Management team in topics related toowner-supplied equipment. Includes support of EPC contractnegotiation, real-time equipment delivery scheduling, andtroubleshooting equipment related concerns on site.
  • Equipment Receiving and Inventory Management - Execute Invenergy\'sequipment receiving and inventory program at the portfolio level.Team is responsible for training on-site materials receivingpersonnel, leading communication of delivery status on a real-timebasis, managing equipment receiving and inventory status, andreporting-out through organization.
  • Offtake Contract Support - Oversee owner-supplied equipment input toofftake contract negotiation. Touchpoint between Origination,Project Management, and Procurement.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor\'s degree.
  • 5+ years of total professional experience.
  • Experience with data analysis and visualization tools.
  • Familiarity with equipment supply and construction agreements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Educational background in Engineering, Construction Management,Business Administration or Supply Chain Management.
  • 3+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement, projectconstruction and/or project development.
  • 1+ years of experience in people management.
  • Thorough understanding of the legal aspects of procurement.
  • Strong organizational, time management, critical thinking, andcommunication skills.
  • Ability to be adaptable and work in a dynamic environment alongsidepeople with diverse interests and backgrounds.
  • Willing to travel up to 25% of the time.
