Job Description

Position Overview

The Senior Manager ,Transmission Development will be the developmentlead for certain projects within Invenergy\'s transmission developmentportfolio. The ideal candidate will have relevant developmentexperiences and be well rounded with the ability to evaluate economic,market, regulatory, political, industry, technological, and otherfactors impacting the viability of a project.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate internal team of subject matter experts acrossregulatory, permitting, engineering, financing, interconnections,and other areas
  • Manage department key performance indicators and providerecommendations to improve metrics where applicable
  • Identify and manage key project risks across all aspects of projectdevelopment and execution
  • Work with numerous partners along the entirety of the route,including agricultural communities, Native American tribalgovernments, various state and federal government agencies, andmanage all of their unique needs and requirements
  • Supervise the effective handling of confidential data and sensitiveinformation.
  • Cultivate and maintain key external stakeholder relationships
  • Oversee cross functional groups to gather and documentprocess/system improvement requirements
  • Continually identify opportunities and challenges across economic,technology, regulatory, permitting and other key facets throughoutthe project development cycle
  • Support economic modeling for all phases of project development
  • Represent Invenergy Transmission with landowners, state and localofficials and other stakeholders
  • Understand and explain benefits of projects to host communities
  • Lead efforts to obtain certain local and state approvals
  • Manage tasks according to budgets and schedules, includingcoordinating internal and external technical support

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering, Finance, or other relevant field
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in energy/utilities sector, projectmanagement, regulatory field, or corporate strategy/development orsimilar
  • Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employervisa sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing large projects and/or teams
  • Experience with economic analysis of complex projects or businesses
  • Broad experience with engaging with multi-faceted subject matterexperts and distilling into key messages
  • High degree of comfort with ambiguity; ability to effectivelynavigate uncertainty
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and tomeet deadlines and complete time-sensitive projects
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills with the abilityto identify and drive solution of complex problems
  • Strong written and verbal communication with ability to succinctlycommunicate complex problems
  • Ability to use discretion in handling confidential information
