Job Description

Tomorrow.io’s Sales Team, the Solutions Engineering Team makes it possible for weather-sensitive industries like technology and on on-demand, construction, aviation, energy, outdoor entertainment, autonomous cars, drones, and other forward-thinking businesses, to operate faster than the speed of weather.

We’re looking for a Solutions Engineer Manager, who’ll be responsible for supporting and enabling the APAC sales team to meet growth targets and sales quota in the region through driving cross functional collaboration, increasing alignment and reducing friction between departments.

As Tomorrow.io's solutions Engineer Manager you'll have the opportunity to participate in discovery of customer pains and challenges and design a solution that will help the customer to better manage their weather-related problems while working with R&D, product and customer success teams.

The role will be in one of the most visionary companies in the world, we are developing tools to help organisations to cope with weather which is becoming more and more volatile and extreme, the last IPCC reports are proving the fact that our world is changing and innovative solution such as Tomorrow.io platform arriving in the right timing. Japan is a major region for the company and this role is a key and initial point for Tomorrow.io to work with Japanese organizations, and more importantly, there is a unique opportunity to help Japanese companies to manage their operations in a prone-weather region that has extreme weather conditions often.

What you'll do:

  • Meeting and exceeding ACV/Revenue targets
  • Develop and execute an ongoing sales enablement program
  • Develop and execute an ongoing channels and partners enablement program (Work closely with the APAC Channel & Partner Director)
  • Represent Tomorrow.io in industry events, being able to articulate Tomorrow.io mission, offering and customers use cases
  • Support and assist sales executives with all aspects of the sales process including client presentations, proposals, product demonstrations, implementation plans, and final close
  • Provide market feedback to the Product team and help prioritize functionality needed to drive sales opportunities
  • Partner with Customer Success to provide new customers with a seamless onboarding experience
  • Develop a deep understanding of our product capabilities, solutions, messaging, partner ecosystem, and competitive landscape
  • Cultivate an environment of teamwork, openness, creativity, and continuous improvement
  • Strategize with marketing to create campaigns to penetrate target accounts

What you bring:

  • 3-5 years of experience as Solution Engineering.
  • Presentation, Sales Operations, MEDDPIC, Storytelling and Time Management - Expert
  • Account Management, Market Development, Strategic Planning and Negotiation Skulls - Advanced
  • A “can do” attitude and willingness to go the extra mile when required.
  • Proven ability to build trust with clients and the team.
  • Ability to identify and communicate risks that will impact the sales cycle timelines or will put customer relationships under risk.
  • Willingness and ability to work in a start-up environment.
  • Ability to cope under pressure. Maintains stable performance when under heavy pressure or stress.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, time management, and multi-tasking abilities
  • Efficiency. Able to produce significant output with minimal wasted effort.
  • Organization and planning. Plans, organizes, schedules in an efficient, productive manner. Focuses on key priorities. Ability to manage your own diary in order to organize and prioritize daily and weekly goals.
  • Follow-through on commitments. Lives up to verbal and written agreements.
  • Domain expert. Brings best practices to the team and coaches others on how to leverage them.
  • Analytical skills. Able to structure and process qualitative or quantitative data and draw insightful conclusions from it.
  • Attention to details. Do not let important details slip through the cracks or derail a project.
  • Previous experience with API development/integrations - major benefit
