Coperniq is backed by Y Combinator and Initialized, founded by Y Combinator’s CEO, Garry Tan.<br><br><strong>Role Objective:</strong> <br>Your role will involve close collaboration with the CEO to ensure organizational efficiency ("keeping the house in order"), accuracy in our financial operations ("running a tight ship"), and a strategic perspective on financial management ("engaging at a strategic level") with a company-wide outlook.</p><p style=""><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul style=""><li><p style=""><strong>Accounting Oversight:</strong> Coordinate with external accountants for both our US headquarters and any international subsidiaries.</p></li><li><p style=""><strong>Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&amp;A):</strong> Lead budgeting and financial projections to support strategic decision-making.</p></li><li><p style=""><strong>Transactional Management:</strong> Oversee the processing of bills, invoicing, and employee expense reimbursements.</p></li><li><p style=""><strong>Cash Management:</strong> Manage company treasury and oversee overall cash flow.</p></li><li><p style=""><strong>Investor Relations:</strong> Partner with the CEO on fundraising activities, prepare materials for board meetings, and maintain regular communications with investors.</p></li><li><p style=""><strong>Revenue Management:</strong> Work closely with the sales team to manage revenues and oversee the payment of sales commissions.</p></li><li><p style=""><strong>Compliance and Risk Management:</strong> Manage venture debt, banking relationships, and organizational insurance needs.</p></li><li><p style=""><strong>Strategic Projects:</strong> Engage in special projects such as analytics for tracking KPIs and OKRs, legal oversight (contract reviews), and operations (vendor and lease management).</p></li></ul><p style=""><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul style=""><li><p style="">Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience, including significant exposure to the SaaS industry/</p></li><li><p style="">Proven capability in financial strategy and operational finance.</p></li><li><p style="">Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.</p></li><li><p style="">Proficient in using advanced financial software and tools.</p></li><li><p style="">Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.</p></li><li><p style="">Professional certification (e.g., Chartered Accountant, CFA) strongly preferred.</p></li></ul><p style=""></p><p style=""><strong>Compensation and Benefits:</strong></p><ul style=""><li><p style=""><strong>Base Salary:</strong> $80,000 - $140,000</p></li><li><p style=""><strong>Stock Options:</strong> 0.05% - 0.2%</p></li><li><p style=""><strong>Comprehensive Health Benefits:</strong> 99% coverage of medical, dental, and vision insurance; 50% coverage for dependents.</p></li><li><p style=""><strong>Paid Time Off (PTO):</strong> 3 weeks per year</p></li><li><p style=""><strong>Professional Development Opportunities:</strong> Access to training and development courses to enhance professional growth</p></li></ul><p style=""></p><p style=""><strong>Why Join Coperniq?</strong></p><p style="">Joining Coperniq means you'll be part of a mission to redefine the energy sector.
