Head of Finance and Administration

Job brief

CTrees is seeking a Head of Finance & Administration to support the daily operations of the organization, including financial and logistical aspects, as well as human resources. In this role, the Head of Administration will communicate with the leadership team to improve day-to-day operations and help to ensure organizational deadlines are met.  

Responsibilities

• Improve office operations and procedures as part of the management team
• Lead the development and tracking of budgets across the organization, working with department heads to review budgeting needs and department projects
• Oversee payroll, benefits, invoicing, and employee onboarding
• Follow the work of all of the organization teams to support them in working productively, helping them to meet deadlines and company standards
• Organize maintenance companies to keep the office in Pasadena clean, safe, and well functioning
• Train new employees and organize their employment paperwork
• Support the visa process when needed for new hires
• Lead logistics for retreats and organizational meetings
• Support the CEO with scheduling and travel logistics 

Requirements

• At least 5 years experience as Head of Finance, Administration, or similar position
• Natural ability to lead, which enables them to oversee the successful administration of an organization and its employees.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, allowing them to write effective emails or memos and speak in meetings with employees 
• Excellent interpersonal communication as they need to talk with employees and leadership on a daily basis
• Experience ensuring compliance with HR policies to prevent instances of workplace harassment and other situations

Additional

• Salary range: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum
• Location: Hybrid working in Pasadena, CA 
• Hours: Full-time
