At Skyven Technologies, we have developed a revolutionary heat pump technology to decarbonize industrial heat. We implement this technology through an innovative Energy-as-a-Service model that saves our customers money with no capital outlay. We are hiring a Technical Sales Representative to join our growing Sales team. This is an opportunity to make a real impact at an innovative and growing climate tech company.

Industrial heat is responsible for roughly 20% of global CO2 emissions. That's roughly equivalent to emissions generated by all transportation (including land, sea, and air) and is a compelling business opportunity - it will take an estimated $3.7 trillion in capital investment to decarbonize the sector by 2050. Skyven is at the forefront of this transformation and has recently been selected for a $145M investment from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) to accelerate the deployment of our state-of-the-art Arcturus steam-generating heat pumps (SGHPs) at manufacturing facilities nationwide, revolutionizing how we address energy needs while combating climate change.

About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic Technical Sales Representative with a proven track record in engaging large industrial manufacturing companies and inspiring them to embrace change. The main objective of this role is to achieve sales targets and build strong relationships with stakeholders. The Technical Sales Representative will be instrumental in driving revenue growth by creating and implementing sales strategies to secure complex deals with large manufacturing facilities. This role involves managing the entire enterprise sales pipeline, from lead generation and prospect qualification to client negotiation and deal closure.

Responsibilities

  • Meet sales objectives
  • Deliver presentations and product demos with confidence and clear communication
  • Establish trusted relationships with prospects and build effective partnerships with clients
  • Navigate complex enterprise structures to achieve stakeholder alignment
  • Communicate effectively to align Skyven team members and internal resources
  • Maintain all customer interactions, deal tasks, and information in our CRM tool
  • Generate a healthy sales funnel and rigorously qualify deals
  • Stay informed about market competition
  • Accurately report sales activities and forecasts to senior management
  • Identify and communicate market trends and product feedback

Requirements

    • 3+ years working in an industrial manufacturing environment and/or directly with industrial manufacturing clients
    • Proven experience selling and closing complex engineering solutions at enterprise level
    • Ability to build relationships with senior executives and plant managers
    • Ability to creatively explain and present complex concepts in an easy-to-understand manner
    • Excellent written, verbal, and follow-up communication skills
    • Excellent presentation and creativity skills

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent preferred
  • Experience selling complex engineering projects and equipment
  • Experience selling energy-as-a-service offerings

Benefits

    • Base salary: $80,000 - $120,000
    • Uncapped commission (potential OTE estimated up to $220,000)
