Job Description

Terraformation is hiring a full-time Client Value Proposition Manager to lead the use of client relationships, data, and insights to identify opportunities across products, services, pricing, and presentations to realize future growth opportunities in collaboration with internal cross-functional teams.
Terraformation’s overall mission is to accelerate appropriate reforestation at mass scale and speed to reverse the current climate crisis trends. The Client Value Proposition Manager will play a critical role in support of our mission by:
strategically segmenting and understanding our multitude of clients needs, and effectively communicating and collaborating with our MarComms and Business Development teams to ensure our reforestation value propositions, products, and service offerings tactically align toward restoring native forests on three billion acres of land in this decade.
This role can be remotely located; however, the successful candidate must have the ability to regularly attend calls and meet deliverable deadlines that align with London (BST/UTC+1).
This position reports to the Global Head of Business Development, and works closely with leadership within the MarComms and Business Development teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify key client segments across Terraformation’s multiple regions and portfolios including corporate sustainability departments, landowners and family offices, and various categories of investors
  • Lead the insight efforts to clearly identify, articulate, and track attitudes and perceptions of segmented client groups 
  • Scope, design, and test improvements to existing products and services 
  • Identify opportunities for new products and services through deep understanding of clients’ needs and feedback
  • Own and develop the client proposition roadmap and work with all relevant functions across the business providing them with clear market and proposition input
  • Monitor industry- and client-relevant innovations and trends that influence our clients
  • Develop a comprehensive suite of collateral in conjunction with Terraformation’s MarComms team
  • Work supportively/collaboratively with colleagues in Business Development to ensure the sharing of best practices and effective coordination of activities
  • Build strong relationships through appropriate and persuasive communication

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in marketing, business administration, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience as a proposition manager 
  • Experience working with high net worth individuals and families as grantors, donors, and/or investors
  • Demonstrated proposition development experience across products and services 
  • Ability to form and maintain highly-effective working relationships with all levels from personal assistants to C-suite executives
  • Excellent translator of client needs into business requirements and strategic opportunities
  • A strong project manager who can manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Prior experience working with cross functional sales, marketing, communications, legal, and finance teams
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Possesses persistence and is not afraid of change
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Experience with Google Suite tools
  • Passion to solve the climate crisis

Ideal Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in marketing, business administration, or related field
  • 5+ years’ experience with either the Big Four management consulting firms or with a financial product company
  • Experience with design thinking approaches and/or future trend research
  • Experience working with forestry projects and/or production and sale of verifiable carbon credits and other ecosystem benefits
  • Understanding of the existing UN climate frameworks and protocols
  • Understanding of the current climate science
  • Ability to speak a second language (or multiple languages)
