Community Outreach Coordinator

About Us: Tuesdays for Trash (T4T) is an environmental organization dedicated to promoting waste reduction and management through community-driven initiatives. We work with local chapters across various regions to implement effective waste management practices, educate communities, and advocate for sustainable policies.

Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Community Outreach Coordinator to join our team. This role is critical in helping us manage and develop advanced chapter growth while gaining hands-on experience in the climate and environmental field. The ideal candidate will conduct thorough research on creative and successful waste management policies and programs from around the world and compile this information into actionable recommendations for our local chapters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support participant and volunteer recruitment and retention efforts
• Light data entry and report analyzing to manage performance and communication of chapter activities
• Event marketing support
• Proofreading, editing, and strategizing of current marketing materials and chapter onboarding kits
• Other relative duties as assigned
• Build processes, documentation and tools to support participant acquisition

Qualifications:

• Detail oriented and strong organizational skills
• Professional demeanor and passion for environmental work
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient with google drive
• Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment
• Able to dedicate at least 10 hours per week to the role.
• Based in Kenya would be ideal but not a requirement
