Our client, a pioneering energy investment firm, is seeking a Thermal Solutions Project Manager to oversee a portfolio of thermal projects across Africa.
In this role, you will be highly involved in every stage of the project lifecycle, from design to construction. Your responsibilities will include extensive stakeholder engagement, vendor negotiation, and meticulous attention to project proposals and documentation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with Business Development Teams to deliver complex decarbonisation projects
- Update our clientâs standard technical contract documentation
- Review tender proposals and technical specifications
- Identify and engage key vendors with the Business Development Team for each project
- Prepare scopes of work and manage third-party consultants
- Guide construction partners through company technical specifications and provide technical training as needed
- Conduct site visits to assess project technical risks
- Engage with clients' technical teams to manage project delivery
- Review detailed engineering drawings and documentation to ensure compliance with company and client requirements
- Lead HSE and design safety reviews before final design approval
- Manage technical project delivery with the Project Manager, including vendor and contractor designs
- Oversee technical management of interfaces with split design responsibilities
- Manage relationships and inputs from third-party technical consultants
- Lead the companyâs Technical Team on each project, ensuring compliance with PPA and technical requirements, and oversee QA/QC plans
- Conduct regular site visits for technical compliance and manage construction partners' technical teams
- Assist the operational team in managing contractor/vendor technical liabilities post-commissioning
- Assess plant performance to ensure compliance with PPA and contractor/vendor obligations
- Manage O&M technical obligations of construction partners and third-party contractors
