About the Job

We’re looking for an HR Officer to take care of our client’s team in Cape Town. Do you have 5+ years of experience in HR? Are you particularly good at resolving conflicts in the workplace? Our client, a major IPP with over 1500MW of generation capacity and several new projects in the pipeline, is looking for an HR Expert to handle all of their HR needs and related administration. You are someone who values both integrity and sustainability and are constantly coming up with and implementing new initiatives in order to improve company culture. RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul><li>Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with both staff and management</li><li>Offer expert advice and guidance on HR policies and procedures</li><li>Address performance and misconduct issues in collaboration with managers</li><li>Oversee recruitment projects, refine job descriptions, conduct interviews, and advise on hiring decisions</li><li>Recommend salary structures and prepare offers for new hires</li><li>Support DE&I initiatives and ensure comprehensive onboarding processes for new employees</li><li>Partner with managers on change management and employee feedback initiatives</li><li>Train managers on engagement systems and handle related queries.</li><li>Analyse engagement results and provide feedback to leadership.</li><li>Maintain relationships with the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provider.</li><li>Collaborate to identify and address wellbeing trends and needs.</li><li>Provide feedback on EAP reports.</li><li>Manage HR administration for new joiners, leavers, transfers, and promotions.</li><li>Serve as the HRIS Power User and oversee end-to-end HR administration processes</li><li>Coordinate benefits reviews and renewals</li><li>Manage payroll administration.</li><li>Prepare purchase orders and reports.</li><li>Assist with audits and reporting.</li><li>Contribute to HR systems improvement</li></ul>
