Job Description

Position Overview

As Associate, Origination you will be responsible for originating newbusiness in the WECC Region by developing new and existing customerrelationships, communicating Invenergy\'s story and key attributes ofpotential product offerings, and proposing and structuring clean energypower transactions for the company\'s wind, solar, energy storage andthermal resource portfolio. The role would be an ideal growthopportunity for an ambitious self-starter looking to build on existingexperience in the energy industry to help fuel the growth of one of themost dynamic and entrepreneurial companies in the industry.

Responsibilities

  • Initiate and identify new origination prospects and implement anoutreach strategy for all products and technologies underdevelopment, with a focus on executing Power Purchase Agreements,Build Transfer Agreements, and Development Transfer Agreements
  • Coordinate with development, finance, engineering and otherdepartments to develop solutions for customers, including assistingin the development of proposals and pricing for opportunities
  • Originate and assist with structuring and closing large wholesalepower transactions in coordination with Commercial Transactions team
  • Develop and implement customer and market strategies
  • Develop and maintain strong customer and business relationships
  • Prepare and deliver internal and external presentations, webinars,etc.
  • Advance junior members of the origination team
  • Maintain CRM software with latest status on outreach efforts

Required Skills

  • Applicants should possess at least 3 - 5+ years of experience
  • A BS or BA from an accredited college program
  • Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employervisa sponsorship now or in the future

Preferred Skills

  • Degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Finance or a similarfield is preferred
  • Knowledge of the electric utility industry and electric energymarkets.
  • Working knowledge of RTO operations, electric transmission and powergeneration and storage technologies
  • A solid track record of success in a development or sales capacityin the clean energy sector
  • Strong sales, networking, leadership, negotiation and timemanagement skills
  • Outstanding problem solving, strategic thinking, verbal and writtencommunication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Ability to make decisions with limited information and in light ofambiguity
  • Demonstrated ability to perform under significant time and pressureconditions
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
