Join the Powertrain Team based in Bristol as a Senior HV Electrical Design Engineer and help us achieve our mission of pioneering electric aviation.What will success look like for you, as a Senior HV Electrical Design Engineer?
  • As a Senior HV Design Engineer you will be responsible for:
  • The design and development of the Aircraft HV distribution system design and all electro-mechanical integration within the battery system.
  • You'll own the analysis of functional, behavioural, and performance requirements as well as the logical design, architectural design, functional decomposition and allocation, and interface definitions.
  • You will design system electrical drawings, harnesses and interfaces and perform detailed studies to lead the design of various HV architectures.
  • A key part of this role will be developing HV electrical system architecture at the battery and vehicle level, designing Power distribution units and electronics integration within the battery pack, and preparing documents, from design concepts to detailed electronic (CAD/3D) Drawings.
What would we like you to bring?We want you to be successful in your role, in order to achieve this you will need to have proven experience within:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Aerospace Engineering.

  • Power Distribution design experience including connectors, integration, harness and mechanical design

  • System engineering methodology experience: Requirement capture, functional trees, etc.

  • Experience designing HV systems (>400V) AC or DC.

  • Experience designing Electrical diagrams drawings in CATIA.

  • Experience with Harness development 2D and 3D in CATIA.
