Senior Product Manager, Hardware

WHO YOU ARE

As a Senior Product Manager, you will work across all technical and business subject areas to help set the direction and drive the development of Sila's next-generation battery materials. You’ll be working with the Research, Process, Battery Engineering, and Business Development groups, as well as engaging with customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Understand the competitive landscape and where Sila fits in it.
• Consolidate a list of all potential technical advances being worked on within Sila and create a structure to evaluate commercialization opportunities.
• Create and maintain key elements of Sila's product roadmap.
• Identify gaps between what Sila needs to do to succeed in new markets and what Sila is on track to achieve.
• Define detailed requirements for products Sila is considering developing.
• Investigate and synthesize customers' needs in target markets through customer and internal discussions, industry reports, announcements, etc.
• Own and drive new product development and introduction, including launch plan, marketing/sales documentation, and internal product documentation.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

• 4+ years in a product management role, preferably with a business-to-business hardware product.
• Experience crafting and owning elements of product management, including product roadmaps.
• Experience bringing at least one product from conception through launch.
• Lead conversations on future needs with team members at existing customers/prospects and accessing valuable market sources (i.e., market reports, conferences, consultants, etc.).
• Track record of improving how a company develops products.
• Knowledge of automotive or consumer electronics sectors, experience in the battery industry, and/or engineering degree would be nice.
