Join the VA People Team based in Bristol as a Senior Reward Lead and help us achieve our mission of pioneering electric aviation.We're looking for a 12-14 month FTC Senior Reward Lead to spearhead our total reward strategy, ensuring we attract, motivate, and retain top talent as we move into a transformational period of our journey at Vertical Aerospace.What success will look like for you, as a Senior Reward Lead?
As a Senior Reward Lead you'll have ownership of the strategic design, implementation, and management of our reward strategy and philosophy, compensation management, benefits design and administration as well as our equity programs, operational, regulatory and compliance oversight and payroll delivery, which is executed by the Payroll and Benefits Specialist who report 's into you. There is an opportunity to spearhead and deliver key projects including a benefits redesign, implementation of a career levelling & architecture and further refinement of our equity programme strategy.Reporting into the People Director, we're looking for someone with an amazing business-partnering mindset, as you'll work closely and co-create frequently with the People Team & Vertical Management Team. We want Reward to be a business superpower, ensuring a direct and tangible link to our business growth strategies for this year and beyond.What would we like you to bring?We want you to be successful in your role, to achieve this, you will need to have proven experience with:Critical:
  • A deep specialism in multiple areas of Reward, including compensation, benefits, and equity programs.
  • Experience in designing and running a share scheme and how they motivate employees balanced with business commercials.
  • Demonstrable experience designing and managing complex reward structures in a dynamic, and sometimes ambiguous environment.
  • Excellent business-partnering experience with a history of working with senior management teams.
  • An understanding and appreciation of the right reward initiatives and structures based on the business stage and priorities
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of clearly articulating reward strategies to diverse audiences, with the ability to simplify and demystify reward through clear communication of complex topics.
  • Willing to be hands on in the operational delivery alongside the strategic objectives of the role.
Preferred:
  • International reward experience
  • Experience in payroll management
  • People management experience
  • Experience within a publicly traded company and startup/scale-up environment.
