Join the Digital & Flight Systems Team based in Bristol as an Advanced Modelling & Simulation Engineer and help us to achieve our mission of pioneering electric aviation.

What success will look like for you, as an Advanced Modelling & Simulation Engineer?

As an Advanced Modelling & Simulation Engineer, you will be responsible for development and integration of models to support flight control, actuation, mechanical and avionic systems, while also being responsible for model deployment onto test platforms to support validation and verification activities.

You will be working closely with Subject Matter Experts in the Digital & Flight Systems team & other internal stakeholders to support the development of a complex and novel product while also driving rapid development in systems and integration. This will involve strong collaboration and teamwork skills to assist with coordinating model development and deployment.

You will report directly to the Digital Systems Principal Architect and be a key member of the Digital & Flight Systems team, supporting the continued development of our in-house expertise, specialist knowledge and capabilities.

What would we like you to bring.

We want you to be successful in your role, in order to achieve this, you will need to have experience with developing and integrating Matlab/Simulink models, possessing good knowledge of aircraft subsystem modelling and integration into mechanical, avionic or flight control system models.

Additionally, it would be helpful to have knowledge of flight control and/or actuation. It would be desirable, but not essential, to have experience with; MBSE tools (i.e System Composer), development & integration of Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL/HWIL) real-time simulations & models & CI/CD practices.

Ideally, you will have gained this experience in a fast-moving, safety-critical industry.
