📢 #CalEnergy is looking to hire a knowledgeable Load Flexibility Policy Specialist in the Efficiency Division!

**This position is eligible for Telework within the state of California. Any candidates outside a 50-mile radius of our HQ building (715 P street, Sacramento) will not have to report to the office.**

What you need to be eligible for this position:

  1. Equivalent to graduation from college. Additional experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis. AND
  2. Four to Five years of performing technology evaluation and development duties in areas related to energy technologies, energy research, development and demonstration projects; advanced combustion technologies; transportation energy technologies and alternative fuels; efficiency improving energy technology and fuels; including duties such as analysis of economic, environmental and public health impacts in California; including three years of experience above the trainee level. (A master's degree in a field related to one of the specialties may be substituted for one year of experience, while a doctoral degree may be substituted for two years of the required experience).

 

Desirable Qualifications:

• Knowledge of state greenhouse gas emissions reduction goals and policies, load management standards, and load flexibility policies and programs

• Ability to learn, understand, and communicate complex technical concepts

• Expertise in public speaking, meeting facilitation and persuasive speaking

• Expertise in technical writing, analyzing, evaluating, challenging, developing, and defending policy reports and assessing standards compliance

• Ability to plan, organize, prioritize workload, collaboratively work within a team, interact respectfully with interested parties, and provide consultation to management and commissioners

• Ability to lead technical tasks
