We are dedicated to cultivating an equitable and inclusive environment that embraces our differences, and supports and celebrates all of our team members.</div>What you’ll do:<ul><li>The Director, Tax is responsible for consolidated income tax reporting as well as all aspects of taxation for the Company.</li><li>Manage uncertain tax positions documentation with external consultants, including setting the scope of work needed, provide information requested and review deliverables</li><li>Negotiate contracts with software providers, external consultants, and tax shared service companies (subsidiaries and affiliates)</li><li>Monitor and evaluate the impact of changes to tax laws and regulations and provide relevant updates and guidance to management</li><li>Lead the Company’s quarterly and annual SEC tax reporting process, managing the collaboration with the Company’s SEC reporting team as well as maintaining excellent relationships with external auditors</li><li>Partner with the outside consultants, to advise on global projects, review tax opportunities, develop forecasts and optimize tax department operations</li><li>Lead tax compliance processes for federal, state and local income and indirect taxes</li><li>Be the technical leader on all tax accounting matters</li><li>Lead tax due diligence and structuring for mergers and acquisitions.</li><li>Manage federal, state, and local tax audits</li><li>Maintain knowledge of current and proposed tax laws and analyze their impact on the Company</li><li>Research technical tax matters and prepare documentation to support tax positions</li><li>Support strategic tax planning, identify, recommend, and implement policies, procedures and best practices</li><li>Continuously monitor and proactively Identify and obtain tax incentives for the company.</li><li>Oversee compliance with internal controls and SOX documentation</li><li>Partner with Finance, Supply chain, R&amp;D and other stakeholders to evaluate business opportunities and global initiatives</li><li>Champion operational excellence through process improvement and technology transformation</li></ul>What you need:<ul><li>Minimum of 12 years of related experience with a combination of Big 4 public accounting and industry experience</li><li>The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with tax accounting and reporting under ASC 740 for a US-based multi-national corporation</li><li>Experience with tax accounting and reporting under US GAAP in multinational context, including accounting for uncertain tax positions, and accounting for stock-based compensation</li><li>Experience with US federal and state corporate tax and Sales tax compliance</li><li>Strong analytical thinking and writing skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Proven ability to conduct thorough tax research</li><li>Ability to balance strategic thinking with operational leadership</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills</li><li>Experience in a fast moving, high growth environment with ability to react quickly to unexpected challenges and opportunities</li><li>Good business sense and ability to generate insightful analysis</li><li>Strong oral and written communication skills, with ability to communicate complex subject matter to leadership, peers and other levels in the company without a tax background</li><li>Extremely well organized and able to manage work requirements to meet reporting deadlines</li></ul>Please note that this job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position and does not include an exhaustive list of responsibilities and qualifications.At Archer we aim to attract, retain, and motivate talent that possess the skills and leadership necessary to grow our business.
