Your mission
The task of the process developer / process engineer in the Battery Cell Assembly is to develop and continuously improve procedures and production processes to ensure robust production. The task requires a high level of technological understanding and the desire to learn new processes and implement them in ongoing production. The targeted activities for implementation are to be coordinated and introduced on schedule as part of the project in order to ensure the goals of project achievement and product quality.

  • (Further) development, design, introduction and continuous optimization of processes in the field of battery cell assembly in lithium-ion battery production. The focus lies on notching, lamination, contactless surface cleaning, mechanical cutting processes and/or stack formation)
  • Adaptation and optimization of production process parameters in consideration of production and product requirements
  • Reporting of optimization and development statuses in different project and company structures
  • Development and communication of domain knowledge and participation in the identification of future trends and their feasibility in lithium-ion battery production
  • Cross-functional collaboration with various disciplines such as production, quality, development, customers, development partners and suppliers
Your profile
  • Completed technical studies (M.Sc. or Ph.D.) such as process engineering, mechanical engineering and engineering sciences or comparable qualification.
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in the process development of cell assembly lithium-ion production. Ideally additional experience in other areas of lithium-ion battery production and their requirements.
  • Good technological understanding of development of possibilities and interpretation of results
  • Ability to deal with high, changing and different requirements
  • Strong communication skills, ability to deal with conflict, openness and interest in making a difference with the team
  • Willingness to occasionally travel nationally/internationally, especially in the first few months
  • Proficient in written and spoken German and English
