This position requires a deep understanding of cell technology and a strong background in engineering project leadership.</p><p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p><p>Collaborate with US OEM customers and the internal cell team to drive new cell designs from concept to mass production.<br>Work in partnership with internal teams to define performance criteria for cell designs, including electrochemical, mechanical, and safety requirements.<br>Negotiate requirements and final product specifications directly with US OEM customers.<br>Develop and implement test plans for validating new cell designs, analyzing and addressing failure modes.<br>Synthesize test results into program level impacts and regularly report to leadership.<br><br></p><p><strong>Required Qualifications:</strong></p><p>Master's Degree in a related technical discipline, PhD preferred.<br>At least 3 years of experience in hardware development, with roles available for more experienced candidates.<br>Strong foundation in engineering principles and a history of applying this knowledge to solve complex problems.<br>Proven success in working with cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams.<br>Experience in lithium-ion cell design, cell qualification, cell manufacturing, and project management is advantageous.<br>Quarterly overseas travel expected.<br>Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.</p><p> </p><div><div><div><p>Base pay is one part of our total compensation package at Gotion, and is determined within a range.
