Everyone is highly valued and plays a vital role in the growth of our organization.</div>Job Title: Supplier Quality Engineer What to Expect Gotion is seeking a dynamic Supplier Quality Engineer this person is responsible for quality management of suppliers related to ESS and power automotive lithium-ion batteries, including new supplier introduction and review, incoming quality control during mass production, supplier anomaly handling and continuous improvement, quality system construction and audit. Through cross-departmental collaboration, ensure stable quality of key raw material supplies such as cells, modules, packs,containers, BMS, etc., and promote continuous improvement in the overall quality level of the supply chain.What You’ll Do <ul><li>Conduct quality system assessments (such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949) on potential suppliers.</li><li>Supplier development:</li><li>Guide new suppliers to establish a quality system that meets the required standards</li><li>Provide necessary training on quality standards, inspection specifications, process control requirements, etc., and ultimately approve the supplier's PPAP.</li><li>Quality planning in the supplier development stage:</li><li>Collaborate with R&amp;D, purchasing, and project teams to ensure supplier quality is controlled in new projects.</li><li>Drive suppliers to complete APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning), PPAP (Production Part Approval Process), etc.</li><li>Developing inspection standards for incoming materials.</li><li>Deal with non-conforming incoming materials, analyze the causes and promote supplier rectification.</li><li>Quickly respond to supplier quality issues in production lines or customer feedback.</li><li>Coordinate and promote suppliers to implement corrective and preventive measures.</li><li>Track improvement and close issues.</li><li>Collect and analyze supplier quality data (such as PPM, defect rate, return rate, etc.).</li><li>Drive suppliers to develop and implement problem improvement plans (such as 8D, 5Why, PDCA, etc.).:</li><li>Provide systematic assistance to suppliers when necessary to enhance their overall capabilities</li></ul>What You’ll Bring <ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Material Sciences</li><li>3+ years’ experience on supplier quality management, with experience in the power battery or energy storage battery industry preferred.</li></ul><ul><li>Willingness to travel 25%.</li><li>Familiarity with the production process and quality control points of cells (square), modules, PACK, BMS and key raw materials.</li><li>Proficient in ISO 9001, IATF 16949, VDA6.3 and other quality management systems.</li><li>Familiarity with quality tools such as APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, and SPC.</li><li>Is proficient in problem analysis and solution methods such as 8D, 5Why, fishbone diagram, and DOE.</li><li>Had failure analysis ability and be able to guide suppliers in failure analysis.</li></ul>The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $90,000- $120,000, plus eligibility for bonus and benefits.
