We will help prevent a climate crisis by freeing the world from fossil fuels. Our breakthrough direct air capture technology captures CO2 from the atmosphere and produces hydrogen in parallel.

We are seeking dedicated and motivated working students to join our CO2 desorption team. As a member of this team, you will play a crucial role in building and optimizing an integrated system for the efficient desorption of CO2 captured directly from the air at our pilot plant, Greenberry.

Specifically you will:

  • Assist in selecting the appropriate components for the integrated system, such as sensors, pumps, fittings, and other essential hardware.

  • Contribute to optimizing the operating conditions of the system, including stack size, water management, and heat management.

  • Collaborate with team members to ensure the system operates at peak efficiency.

  • Participate in troubleshooting and resolving any technical issues that may arise during the development and operation of the system.

  • Gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge technology in the field of direct air capture and CO2 desorption.

  • Have the opportunity to contribute to sustainable and innovative solutions for climate change.

  • Contribute to building and commissioning a test bench for the absorption-desorption process.

  • Perform further general tasks in process design.

About you
  • You are qualified or currently studying in one of the following: Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

  • You work in a structured and organized way.

  • You are interested in pursuing a placement where you will be given the opportunity and accountability to work on real world projects.

  • You can work independently and as part of a team.

Noteworthy points
  • This role cannot be done fully remotely. We require someone who lives within commuting distance to Essen or is open to relocate which we are happy to support.
