SynaptiQ is 3E’s SaaS product, an independent, evolutionary software suite for asset management of renewable energy portfolios (more information on https://www.3e.eu/solutions/synaptiq). SynaptiQ collects near-real time data of more than 20 million devices spread over 10 thousands utility scale and commercial solar and wind sites spread all over the globe.

We develop and operate advanced analytical services to enrich the monitoring data by:

  • satellite imaging data,
  • meteorological modelling,
  • advanced system modelling,
  • machine learning & artificial intelligence.

The platform combines domains related to big data, high-performance processing, IoT protocols and AI and is the product of the interactions between a multidisciplinary team of developers, scientists, renewable energy architects, electrical engineers, and enthusiast sales that implement, operate and commercialize SynaptiQ worldwide.

The added value realized by SynaptiQ is performance improvement and operational cost reduction for its Operations & Maintenance customers.

The role

You will act as a sales engineer for our SaaS solutions and will operate at the intersection of engineering, sales, operations and product management.

You will be responsible to communicate and demonstrate the technical aspects and value add of the SaaS solution and thereby form a part of the team to achieve the technical win while selling the 'executable'.

Working in tandem with the sales representative, you take ownership of the technical phases within the sales process, including demonstrations of the SaaS platform, technical requirement analysis and definition etc. You demonstrate thorough product knowledge and understanding of the operational activities in combination with your commercial awareness.

Day-to-day, you will aim to:

  • Serve as the technical lead throughout the entire sales cycle, collaborating closely with the sales team to secure new business opportunities and deliver tailored solutions
  • Showcase the capabilities, benefits, and value propositions of 3E’s SaaS platform through comprehensive product demonstrations and presentations, customized to address client-specific requirements.
  • Conduct detailed technical analyses to align client needs and challenges with the functionalities and value proposition of our solutions.
  • Define, implement, and oversee pilot projects and proof-of-concept initiatives, clearly demonstrating the platform’s value to prospective clients.
  • Provide expert input on technical aspects of proposals and contracts, ensuring alignment with both client expectations and organizational capabilities.

You will take full ownership of the technical components of the sales process, delivering a seamless and client-focused experience that fosters confidence and satisfaction.

Requirements

We are looking for a bright engineer with a commercial mindset and good communication skills. You will be able to make a difference from day one, and a “get things done” mentality will be highly appreciated.

Furthermore, our ideal candidate has:

  • A Master’s degree in Information Technology or Engineering, or equivalent professional qualification.
  • A minimum of 1 year of work experience in technical sales or a closely related field.
  • Work experience in and a deep understanding of the solar (and BESS) industry and preferably also SaaS solutions.
  • Strong technical expertise combined with a commercial mindset, enabling you to translate complex functionalities into clear and compelling benefits for technical and non-technical audiences alike.
  • A self-motivated and pragmatic approach, with exceptional organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple stakeholders/priorities.
  • Full professional fluency in English is essential. Proficiency in Italian, Spanish, or Portuguese is advantageous.
  • Residence within Europe (maximum 1-hour time difference from CEST) with availability to attend periodic in-person meetings in Brussels.
