Role Description

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our dynamic team as a Test Maintenance Technician specializing in the maintenance activities related to battery module testing. As a Test Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, uninterrupted operation, and electrochemical performance testing of battery cells and modules. This position requires hands-on skills, a creative approach, and troubleshooting mindset in order to execute maintenance processes effectively.

What you'll do:

  • Log maintenance activities, and document findings and testing metrics for performance traceability. 

  • Safely handle corrosive materials and follow instructions to properly use and dispose of them.

  • Decommission electrochemical devices and associated test stands at end of life. 

  • Maintain and troubleshoot electrochemical test instruments and electromechanical equipment for duration of active tests to maximize total availability of test systems. 

  • Set up and maintain electromechanical test stands and equipment. Assist in keeping documentation up to date.

  • Track and maintain consumable parts inventory.  Update records and escalate ordering requests as necessary.

What you'll bring:

  • Proven experience in equipment maintenance or manufacturing.

  • Familiarity with common electrical, HVAC, and plumbing components such as fuses, power supplies, fans, pumps, valves, etc. 

  • Knowledge of chemical and electrical safety practices; NFPA 70E training a plus.

  • Familiarity with 5S methodology and tool management 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and troubleshoot a variety of electromechanical issues.

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment.

  • Willingness to work at least part time Saturdays and Sundays.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
