Job Description

We are seeking a Finance Analyst to join our regional team. Reporting to the Regional Finance Manager, this role is pivotal in internal cost analysis, month-end reporting, and supporting the region's financial reporting requirements. This position offers a dynamic environment where you will play a key role in enhancing financial processes and contributing to the success of major infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monthly Reconciliation: Reconcile internal cost centres and maximize cost recovery from projects.
  • Operational Liaison: Collaborate with non-financial operational and project teams regarding legacy project queries.
  • Month-End Reporting: Handle accruals, finalize P&L entries, and perform Balance Sheet reconciliations.
  • Financial Controls: Assist in developing and implementing financial control systems, procedures, and processes to boost productivity.
  • Invoice Management: Ensure timely processing of accounts payable invoices and follow up on unpaid debtors.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:

  • Minimum Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Finance/Accounting. Working towards post-tertiary qualifications such as CA, CPA, or CFA.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in financial reporting, analytics, or a related field, ideally within the construction industry. Previous experience with ERP Systems in medium/large companies.
  • Technical Skills: Intermediate proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel. Good written and verbal communication skills, and ability to act professionally and maintain confidentiality.
