I'm Jakob, one of the three founders of VoltStorage GmbH, a Munich-based start-up with over 70 employees. In 2016, together with Michael and Felix, I founded VoltStorage. Our vision was and is to make renewable energy available 24/7 to enable a green, sustainable and fair future. As an expert for stationary flow batteries, we want to cover all application areas of stationary battery storage systems with our multi-technological approach and thus contribute significantly to the energy transition.

To drive forward our major project, I am currently looking for a

Head of Product & Business Development (m/f/d).

In this position, you will focus with your team on the development and product management of pilot projects, which include strategic positioning in target markets and defining a market entry strategy.

Tasks

• Leading the product development of grid-scale battery systems in alignment with the overall company strategy
• Developing innovative products and business areas
• Defining and communicating the product vision to all stakeholders
• Establishing partnerships, collaborations, and alliances
• Revenue generation and achievement of strategic objectives
• Leading the product management and business development teams

Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to effectively lead and develop teams towards objectives
• Completed technical or engineering degree or equivalent education, preferably with a focus on electrical engineering
• Experience in representing the company externally, building and maintaining partnerships
• Competence in developing and implementing product strategies aligned with corporate objectives
• Ability to analyze market trends, identify growth opportunities, and evaluate market entry strategies
• Capacity for strategic thinking, risk assessment, and optimizing profit maximization within the value chain
