Summary:
SCS Global Services seeks a contract APSCA Sustainability Auditor to conduct audits to ensure the quality and integrity of the following Sustainability Certification Programs: SMETA. Contract auditor must be at the APSCA Registered or Certified Level. This is a contracted position for auditors located anywhere in the U.S. or Canada.
The Sustainability Auditor is responsible for conducting audits on site in accordance with requirements of the SMETA program and with SCS’ quality and code of conduct standards. Auditors will conduct field audits in the United States with potential to work in Latin America dependent on language ability. Candidates must be willing to travel regionally and receive at least 20 audit assignments per year. Travel-related expenses are reimbursed by SCS.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct on-site audits of farms, factories, processing plants or manufacturing facilities to verify compliance with the SMETA program requirements based on the Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI) base code. Complete audit checklist(s) and submit timely audit reports to SCS program personnel. Additional responsibilities include assisting in internal report review from other auditors; attendance of and supporting at trainings; and/or peer-evaluation of other regional subcontractors.
