About the Opportunity

The Physical Security Specialist at BlueOval SK will contribute to the overall physical security including site risk assessments, and management of physical security systems such as cameras, security alarms, access control, and lighting.

Key Areas of responsibility:

  • Utilize available resources to integrate physical, electronic, and operational security elements into a cohesive solution to deter, detect, delay, respond to, and recover from security events.
  • Audit security processes and procedures to ensure policy compliance and quality standards.
  • Protect intellectual property and company information from unauthorized disclosures.
  • Establish training requirements and initial training program for contract security guards.
  • Initiate and direct investigations into any security breaches, irregularities, or other issues of concern. Conduct post analysis review to update security policies and procedures.
  • Perform technical reviews of physical security equipment to ensure proper functionality.
  • Identify threats and vulnerabilities creating cost effective counter measures to reduce risk.
  • Develop Security Operations Center (SOC) staffing requirements, processes, and procedures.
  • Manage relationships with multiple vendors for the procurement and sourcing of supplies, equipment, and services through the RFQ phase, negotiation, and execution.
  • Coordinate with law enforcement agencies to enhance security protocols.
  • Apply project management techniques to ensure the installation of physical security infrastructure within established timelines and budget.
  • Facilitate communication in meetings between internal and external partners to align on methods and goals. Prepare agendas, meeting notes, and project summaries. Monitor task completion status and identify at risk project tasks and develop mitigation plans.
  • Develop training, education programs, and communications on security policies and procedures to ensure staff are prepared for potential security issues and crisis response events.
  • Implement temporary strategies to protect intellectual property/core technology while setting up permanent security systems for factory operations.
  • Manage and maintain access control system, ensuring strict adherence to clearance protocols and maintain appropriate access levels.
  • Oversees physical security compliance for regulatory standards applicable to all company facilities containing secured assets.
  • Other duties as assigned

Work Environment

The Physical Security Specialist must be able to work effectively in a fast paced and dynamic environment, with a focus on ensuring the safety and security of our employees and assets.  This position may require occasional travel and work outside of regular business hours to respond to security incidents or emergencies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5 to 10 years in a related security field
  • Experience managing security teams
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written
  • Proficient in Microsoft based computer programs
  • Ability to Lift 25+ pounds

Preferred Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred
  • Adept at problem solving, multi-tasking, and remained composed in high-stress situations.
  • Professional demeanor, customer service attitude and a positive communication style.
  • Security-based certification is a plus (i.e. CPP, PSP, CISSP)
  • Familiarity with access control systems, CCTV, and Incident response in corporate security or related field.
