As a Site Reliability Engineer at Dayrize, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our software systems and contribute to their scalability and efficiency. You will take ownership of specific components, collaborate with junior engineers, and provide guidance. Your role involves deepening expertise in cloud-native offerings, setting up and maintaining services on Google Cloud Platform, and ensuring 24x7 reliability for our customers worldwide. Additionally, you will contribute to architectural decisions, participate in project planning, and continuously strive to enhance our technical strategies.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Ownership and Collaboration:
    • Take ownership of specific components or modules, collaborating with junior engineers and providing guidance.
    • Collaborate closely with team members, sharing knowledge, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  2. Software Design and Implementation:
    • Play a significant role in the design and implementation of software systems, ensuring successful deployment.
    • Develop complex software solutions, applying best practices and addressing technical challenges.
  3. Communication and Collaboration:
    • Effectively communicate ideas, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and provide insights during discussions.
    • Contribute to project planning, task estimation, backlog grooming, and sprint planning.
  4. Technical Expertise and Innovation:
    • Contribute to the technical vision of the project, identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement.
    • Deepen expertise in specific technical domains, stay up-to-date with industry trends, and acquire new skills.
  5. Architectural Decisions and Technical Strategies:
    • Contribute to architectural decisions and assist in planning and executing technical strategies.
    • Ensure integration of assigned tasks within the defined scope and alignment with the larger system.
  6. Google Cloud Platform Proficiency:
    • Utilize experience with Google Cloud Platform, setting up, configuring, and maintaining cloud-native offerings.
    • Ensure smooth operation 24x7, report on Service Levels, deploy and set up monitoring for our global customers.
  7. Infrastructure and Tools:
    • Apply experience with Terraform, CI/CD, Bitbucket, JIRA, OpsGenie, and other relevant tools.
    • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our infrastructure and deployment processes.

 

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Site Reliability Engineer with expertise in maintaining cloud-native offerings.
  • Proficiency with Google Cloud Platform services, including Cloud Run, Cloud Storage, Cloud Load Balancer, Identity Management, BigQuery, and Dataflow.
  • Hands-on experience with Terraform, CI/CD, Bitbucket, JIRA, OpsGenie, and related tools.
  • Strong software engineering skills with experience in designing and implementing complex systems.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to mentor junior engineers.
  • Proven ability to contribute to architectural decisions and technical strategies.
  • Commitment to ensuring high-quality, scalable, and efficient software solutions.
