Senior Data & AI Engineer (L4)

As a Senior Data Engineer at Dayrize, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and optimizing data pipelines and integration processes. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will ensure the efficiency and scalability of our data solutions. Your expertise in data engineering and proficiency with Google Cloud Platform will contribute to the evolution of our data architecture and best practices. Additionally, you will provide guidance to junior team members, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and take ownership of specific deliverables on projects of moderate complexity.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Data Pipeline Design and Development:
   • Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines and integration processes.
   • Implement complex data pipelines, optimize data processing, and ensure data quality.
2. Mentorship and Collaboration:
   • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
   • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement efficient and scalable data solutions.
3. Data Engineering Strategy:
   • Contribute to the design and development of data solutions, improving data availability and reliability.
   • Understand business requirements and contribute to data engineering strategies.
4. Communication and Stakeholder Engagement:
   • Effectively communicate with stakeholders, providing technical expertise and insights.
   • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business needs.
5. Architecture Evolution and Best Practices:
   • Contribute to the evolution of the data engineering architecture and best practices.
   • Work on projects of moderate complexity, taking ownership of specific deliverables.
6. Technical Proficiency:
   • Demonstrate proficiency in data modeling, SQL, ETL processes, data warehousing, and cloud platforms.
   • Leverage senior Python engineering skills to design and develop data-driven software solutions.
7. Google Cloud Platform Expertise:
   • Utilize experience with Google Cloud Platform, especially BigQuery, Dataform, and VertexAI.
   • Apply GCP knowledge to enhance data solutions, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
8. Project Planning and Prioritization:
   • Plan and prioritize tasks, ensuring the timely delivery of data engineering projects.
   • Take ownership of specific deliverables, ensuring their successful completion.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Senior Data Engineer with a focus on data pipeline design and development.
• Strong proficiency in data modeling, SQL, ETL processes, data warehousing, and cloud platforms.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform, especially BigQuery, Dataform, and VertexAI.
• Senior-level Python engineering skills with the ability to design and develop data-driven software solutions.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
