As part of the continued growth and innovation of our Safety service offering, ERM has an opportunity for an experienced Safety leader to join ERM as a Partner in China, based in Beijing, Shanghai or Guangzhou. Combining ERM’s technical expertise in risk, process and occupational safety with a focus on leadership, culture and behaviors, you will work with clients to achieve the full benefit of their safety investments: safeguarding lives, assets and reputation.

ERM’s SAFETY SERVICES OVERVIEW:

ERM takes a distinctive approach to safety– one focused across the entirety of our client’s lifecycle. For major capital projects,  such as oil and gas facilities, renewable energy plants and data center builds, ERM works with clients to help build and sustain a robust safety and risk management culture throughout the design, construction, commissioning, and start-up phases. For existing facilities, ERM partners with clients to reduce accidents by unlocking untapped potential in people, safety programs, and processes. This focuses on Case for Change assessments to diagnose, review, develop and streamline corporate, BU and facility safety programs. ERM’s approaches also focus on leadership performance and behaviors - practical actions and high impact training to motivate and equip corporate, site-based, and front-line leaders to breathe life into established programs and processes.

ROLE PROFILE:

  • Primary focus on client account development, sales, and delivery of the full spectrum of ERM’s safety consulting services. In particular, play a key role in growing ERM’s Environmental, Health, Safety & Risk Compliance services across its broad portfolio of service offerings, including:

    • EHS compliance and social auditing

    • Safety leadership training

    • Safety compliance programs, including safety performance transformation program development and deployment

    • EHS and social compliance and risk management systems development and deployment, including fit-for-purpose management processes and technical standards for safety critical tasks

    • High-impact training in EHS and social fields, including competency assessment and training programs for behavioral change

  • Actively develop commercial strategies to pursue and win new business opportunities that result in significant revenue growth with target clients aligned with ERM’s global strategy.

  • Manage capture efforts utilizing technical understanding to develop proposals, including written content, pricing, presentations, and contracting.

  • Contribute to the growth and development of ERM’s global Safety service initiative and actively collaborate with colleagues across the globe. Drive innovation within the business to stay ahead of client needs and to differentiate ERM in the market.

  • Meet business financial targets, overall project budget and schedule, client satisfaction/expectations, and internal and contract requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors’ or Master’s degree in safety, human factors, engineering, science, or related discipline.

  • Proven track record in Sales / Business Development in Risk Management and Safety Services

  • 10+ years’ progressive safety management and leadership experience, including in a consulting environment and working substantially with industrial clients.

  • Passionate about Safety performance improvement and possess substantial experience in developing and delivering world-class EHS program solutions.

  • Business acumen to understand business risk and challenges, and recognize corporate opportunities.

  • Offer recognized technical expertise and an established reputation in the local marketplace.

  • Certification in field; CSP, CIH, CHMM, or similar registration desired.

  • Chinese and English language proficiency is required
