Senior Solar PV Engineer (Commercial)

Fuse Energy is growing and looking for a qualified commercial solar engineer to join the technical team as we continue to expand and acquire new solar projects. The ideal candidate will be a qualified electrician with previous experience with Solar PV and able to travel across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and execute the installation of commercial rooftop solar PV systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Conduct site assessments and surveys to determine optimal system design and installation plans.
• Install solar panels, inverters, and other related equipment, ensuring all components are correctly and safely mounted and connected.
• Perform electrical work related to solar PV installations, including wiring, grounding, and interconnection to the grid.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during installation to ensure optimal system performance.
• Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, and other team members to ensure timely project completion.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of installations, including site reports and system documentation.
• Adhere to health and safety protocols, ensuring safe working practices at all times.

Requirements

• City and Guilds 2382 (18th edition) qualification is essential.
• NVQ Level 3 Electrical qualification required.
• 2394/2395 Test and Inspect certification is required.
• Experience working with an MSC certified installer is essential.
• Proven experience in the installation of commercial rooftop solar PV systems.
• Strong understanding of solar PV system design, installation, and commissioning.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Comfortable working at heights and experienced with Mobile Elevated Working Platforms.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
