Your Opportunity:

As the Senior Software Engineer at Kathairos, you will drive development of the digital customer platform through strategic vision and customer-centric value creation. You will oversee the lifecycle of the new Kathairos Digital platform, from strategy definition to solution implementation and continuous enhancement. Collaborating with the internal informatics team, you will develop the product map through market and customer research, documenting feature and function requirements. Your expertise in software development, data science, IoT, and informatics will be essential for designing and developing innovative digital solutions. You will own the enforcement of compliance and security protocols across all data systems.

As a leader, you will cultivate the professional development of junior team members providing mentorship and support. This role offers an opportunity to utilize your digital, software development, and product management skills to envision and develop data-driven solutions that reduce the emissions intensity of energy production. Leveraging your in-depth expertise to consistently challenge the status quo will be pivotal in challenging conventional approaches, driving innovation with measurable business outcomes, guiding the strategic evolution of our product and technology offerings, and supporting a cutting-edge position in setting industry trends, best practices, and technological progress towards the elimination of methane emissions.

Qualifications:

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in management information systems (MIS), Business Intelligence (BI), Quantitative Analysis, Data Science, Computer Science or a related field.
• 7+ experience in programming scalable software applications, including 3+ years of leading product and design teams.
• Proficient in the following language skills.
  • Databases: SQL and NoSQL,
  • Programming Languages: Python, Java, C#, JavaScript, and Node
  • Cloud Platforms: Primarily Microsoft Azure, with AWS experience being an asset.
• In-depth knowledge of Salesforce architecture and workflows for automation
• Design an SDD for future data architecture, ensuring seamless integration across existing platforms and guiding digital transformation.
• Demonstrated capability to generate scripts or small software prototypes to evaluate solution hypothesis and viability.
• Proficiency in cloud-based data architecture with demonstrated experience in platforms like Microsoft Azure or AWS.
• Familiarity with UX/UI prototyping or wire-framing tools like Sketch, Figma, or Balsamiq
• Experience with user centric feature/function selection and formalized process of product requirements documentation.
• Strategic thinking and technical expertise with the ability to align technology with business objectives.
• Ability to lead complex technical projects, which may require the ability to brainstorm, define, and build collaboratively with members across multiple teams to deliver results.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills working with a variety of departments including engineering, product management, operations, and support.
• Able to create and issue technical content that is easily adopted and reusable by others.

Valued

• Experience with artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques applied to industrial time series data.
• Experience with the deployment and management of IoT systems.
• Working knowledge of greenhouse gas emissions monitoring, measurement, reporting, and verification.
