<div> Job Details <div>Level:    Experienced</div> <div>Job Location:    After School Program River Center - Los Angeles, CA</div> <div>Position Type:    Part Time</div> <div>Salary Range:    $26.00 - $28.00 Hourly</div> </div>DescriptionOrganization Summary The LA Conservation Corps (the Corps) is a private, non-profit organization that has been helping at-risk young people develop themselves since 1986.  To date, more than 20,000 young people have participated in the Corps classes and service projects, learning new skills while contributing to the quality of life for all of us in the greater Los Angeles area.  The LA Conservation Corps After School Program operates extended-day academic and enrichment activities at schools in diverse communities of Los Angeles.  Providing services to more than 2,500 students daily, Program Leaders mentor and offer expanded learning and enrichment opportunities to meet the needs of students, parents, schools and communities.  Reporting to the Program Manager/Coordinator or at times, other members of the Management Team, Site Supervisors implement programs that serve to provide  students with an opportunity for developing educational and life skills to become productive  members of the world community. The LA Conservation Corps is a major sub-contractor of the Los Angeles Unified School District’s Beyond the Bell Branch for providing comprehensive after school programs on District campuses.  Each Site Supervisor is responsible for the successful implementation of an academic enrichment program at one of these school sites.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesProgram Implementation<ul><li>Implements high-quality, Monday through Friday after school program for up to 200 students, depending on the assigned school, that connect academic learning and enrichment activities in creative, innovative and fun ways, to ensure increased academic success for participating students.</li><li>Builds relationships and collaborates with school stakeholders and partners.</li><li>Coordinates the recruitment, retention and supervision of students.</li><li>Works closely with school administration and faculty to provide a safe, secure and enriching environment for students and staff.</li></ul> Supervision<ul><li>Supervises, motivates, directs, develops and coordinates a team of Program Leaders and other staff in a demanding, fast-paced educational environment.</li><li>Maintains positive team morale, discipline; builds teamwork ethic and cooperation among staff.<ul style="list-style-type:disc;"><li>Conducts and leads weekly team meetings with Staff to ensure that sufficient support and resources are being provided to meet program goals.</li></ul></li><li>Ensures adherence to program policies, goals and philosophy.</li></ul> Student and Staff Attendance<ul><li>Creates, updates and prints weekly student attendance rosters.</li><li> Creates, updates and prints weekly staff attendance rosters.</li></ul> Technology<ul><li><ul style="list-style-type:disc;"><li>Utilizes Corps issued electronics.</li><li>Knowledgeable about Microsoft applications including but not limited to Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, and Publisher.</li><li>Enrolls and updates students and their groups in the Beyond The Bell Application (BTB App).</li><li>Assists staff in requesting user roles for BTB App.</li><li>Ensures that web timecards are accurately completed by assigned due date.</li></ul></li></ul> Communication and Compliance:<ul><li>Reports to Program Manager/Coordinator.</li><li>Prepares written and oral reports.</li><li>Communicates daily with Program Manager/Coordinator of all things throughout the day.</li><li>Performs other duties as assigned. </li></ul>Please note that this job description is not designed to cover or contact a comprehensive listing of activities, duties and/or responsibilities that may be required of the employee for this job.
