Afternoon shift – 1.45pm to 10.00pmAs directed by the Team Leader or designated cover to attend and operate (load, start, stop and clean) production machinery and ancillary equipment in a safe and efficient manner.To ensure:<ul><li>Product is packed and labelled according to Packaging Specification</li><li>Product conforms to the Quality Specification</li><li>The Workstation and surrounding area is kept in a clean and safe condition </li><li>Training of other operating staff to SOP’S as directed by the Team Leader</li><li>Assistance in doing tool and die changes on the thermoforming machines</li><li>Any other general duties as directed are completed</li><li>Look out for the Health and Safety of yourself and others on site</li><li>Any other general duties as directed</li></ul>FORMAL QUALIFICATIONS: <ul><li>Minimum of NCEA level 1 and completion of year 11 at secondary school</li></ul>TRAINING / EXPERIENCEEssential:<ul><li>Previous experience in manufacturing</li><li>Ability to Interpret Production Plans and Manufacturing Orders</li><li>Ability to interpret Quality Specifications and procedures</li><li>Can demonstration written, oral and communication skills in line with the requirements of the role</li></ul>Desirable:<ul><li>Operating experience in a plastics extrusion and thermoforming environment</li><li>Can demonstrate a level of mechanical aptitude</li><li>Current Forklift Certificate</li><li>Previous shift work experience</li></ul>
