The Principal Electrical Design Engineer is responsible for providing technical leadership and expertise in electrical design for Surbana Jurong in the Middle East region. They play a critical role in leading the MEP design team, ensuring successful project execution, and delivering high-quality electrical designs.Job Duties and Responsibilities:Leadership and Team Management:<ul><li>Lead and manage the MEP design team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to team members.</li><li>Develop and implement strategies to enhance the team's performance and achieve business objectives.</li><li>Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.</li><li>Collaborate with internal stakeholders, clients, and project managers to define project requirements and deliverables.</li></ul>Project Planning and Execution:<ul><li>Oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of MEP design projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.</li><li>Provide technical expertise and guidance to resolve complex electrical design issues.</li><li>Review and approve electrical design deliverables to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.</li><li>Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure seamless integration of MEP designs into overall project deliverables.</li></ul>Technical Leadership and Expertise:<ul><li>Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to electrical design.</li><li>Provide technical leadership and guidance to the team, sharing expertise and promoting professional development.</li><li>Identify and implement innovative electrical design solutions to optimize project performance and efficiency.</li><li>Support business development activities by participating in client presentations, proposal preparation, and technical discussions.</li></ul>Required Qualifications:<ul><li>BEng(Hons) degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or relevant Engineering discipline.</li><li>20+ years experience with minimum 2 years in a similar role</li><li>Member of Appropriate Professional Institution (MCIBSE or MASHRAE etc)</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li>MSC degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or relevant Engineering discipline.</li><li>Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Professional Engineer (PE)</li></ul>Please note that due to the volume of applications, only candidates with skills and experience matching our current vacancies will be contacted.
