The position requires the individual to manage independent sales agents (reps) and network with our customers including distributor partners, contractors, engineers and end-users while developing long-term, trusting relationships. The region includes the states Upstate New York, Western Pennsylvania and West Virginia.<h2>Principal Responsibilities</h2><ul><li>Manage and motivate local reps providing guidance and direction.</li><li>Establish sales objectives for reps and monitor progress.</li><li>Generate new business using existing and potential customer networks.</li><li>Build and maintain strong, long-term and trusting customer relationships.</li><li>Obtain favorable product specifications with local engineering firms.</li><li>Plan and allocate time and resources to ensure sales goals are met.</li><li>Track leads and project opportunities.</li><li>Handle regional pricing strategy.</li><li>Interact with internal departments, such as Customer Service, Operations, Supply Chain and Marketing.</li><li>Provide technical presentations and on-site training to engineers, contractors and distributor partners.</li><li>Resolve conflicts and provide solutions to customers in a timely manner.</li></ul><h2>Qualifications &amp; Experience</h2><ul><li>College degree is required (engineering or business is preferred).</li><li>3-5 years sales experience preferred in the plumbing or industrial industry.</li><li>Strong technical, analytical, negotiating and communication skills.</li><li>Strong computer skills including MS Excel preferred.</li><li>Strong verbal, written and presentation skills.</li><li>Strong organizational skills.</li><li>Familiarity with CRM software</li><li>Intuition for business with a problem-solving attitude.</li><li>Regular travel within the sales territory is required.</li></ul>  </div>IPEX is committed to providing accommodations for people with disabilities throughout the recruitment process and, upon request, will work with qualified job applicants to provide suitable accommodation in a manner that takes into account the applicant’s accessibility needs due to disability.
