As Video Editor at DGB Group you are responsible for editing and producing video content for the organisation. You will be part of the audiovisual team and work closely with people within the marketing, content and sales department to create high-quality timely video content.

As video editor you will create all necessary elements to deliver the requested videos, or you will coordinate with colleagues or external parties for necessary support. Common tasks as a video editor consist of editing video content, designing a wide variety of motion graphics, making animations, creating sound design, applying colour correction and colour grading, creating subtitles, managing exports and more. You will need to be an all-round video editor and be able to manage your tasks efficiently and effectively. 

The video editor is also responsible for managing all video files - logging, storing, making proxies, sharing, and backups, and for managing all assets needed for the video production, such as logos, motion graphics, photos, voice-overs, sound effects and so on. 

As a crucial wheel in a small but highly productive audiovisual team we encourage a proactive attitude and appreciate input, ideas and effort into all aspects of video production (such as briefings, scripts, asset design, directing voice-over talent, implementing new techniques, workflow improvements and so on).

We focus both on the quality and quantity of your work. You will often work on multiple projects at the same time and you will collaborate intensively with other team members. Therefore, we require a clean, clear and organised way of working, both as a person as well as within your projects and project files. 

We strongly encourage creativity, knowledge of industry standards, being well-informed on best practices and developments and a dynamic and flexible attitude to challenges.

Key responsibilities:

  • Produce and edit fantastic video content for all types of platforms and purposes..
  • Participate in sprint meetings with the team.
  • Ability to follow production deadlines and work on tight schedules.
  • Create and maintain an efficient and dynamic workflow.
  • Explore new and creative solutions for video editing.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of full-time, professional experience as video editor for large-scale organisations and projects.
  • Excellent understanding of Adobe Premiere and After Effects
  • Experience with basic colour correction and grading in DaVinci Resolve.
  • Strong knowledge of other Adobe software such as Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Creative ability to translate briefs and scripts into strong video content.
  • Passionate about other aspects of high quality video production, such as design, workflow management, writing and analytics.
  • Team player -  accountable and responsible with strong communication skills.
  • Entrepreneurial attitude, proactive and comfortable working completely independently as well as intense collaboration.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Excellent English language proficiency. Dutch, French or another language is a plus..
