Nuada is a vibrant Cleantech business based in Belfast. It has developed an exciting next-generation carbon capture system which will be critical in the fight against climate change. Having secured partnerships with leading cement manufacturers, the Company is scaling its technology with infield pilots and is showcasing the exciting potential of its ultra-energy-efficient capture system to help decarbonise many hard-to-abate industries, turbocharging our pathway to Net-Zero.

 

With the rapid development of our innovative carbon capture system, we are seeking to employ a highly committed production technician to aid with this scale-up. The primary function of the successful candidate will be to aid with the large-scale production of sorbent materials via our patented mechanochemical process. The role will also encompass several additional duties that may be required by the company from time to time. Key responsibilities include:

  • Operate process equipment according to internal procedures controlling process parameters with limits as defined within SOPs and Protocols.
  • Undertake process development, qualification, and validation experiments as well as routine manufacturing operations.
  • Be the subject matter expert for specific pieces of equipment or processes, including equipment set-up, optimum operation, strip-down cleaning and product changeover.
  • Undertake activities related to equipment installation, operational qualification and validation experiments.
  • Liaise with line management and equipment manufacturers to resolve issues or improve efficiency.
  • Accurately record and complete technical information during production operations
  • Analyse products to ensure compliance with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and adhere to Health and Safety policies.

Requirements

  • A-level (or equivalent) qualifications or relevant experience working within a manufacturing industry. A diploma (HND, HNC) in life sciences or engineering would be desirable.
  • Experience working with technical processes and equipment.
  • Proven ability to adopt a methodical approach, managing multiple tasks simultaneously whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy in all work.
  • Ability to work effectively on own initiative and effectively contribute within a team environment.
  • Willing to learn and apply new skills
