Earthshot Labs’ purpose is to use AI to catalyze planetary land regeneration.

We conduct core ecological research and build technology products that inspire landowners to restore their land, and easily onboard them to carbon marketplaces at no cost. Earthshot also develops land restoration carbon projects in different parts of the world.

Earthshot firmly believes that people are most effective and happiest when they bring their whole selves into their work, so they can unleash their full genius. We take shared breaths together, we discuss subjects that are deeply meaningful and at times vulnerable for our members. We actively maintain a coherent field of deeply held love for nature and restoring humankind’s place within it. Despite our best intentions we are keenly aware of the potential problems inherent in creating a tech platform to engineer large scale land use, and so we are engaging with indigenous leaders, ecological experts, regenerative farmers, and other groups with deep knowledge of the land in order to ensure we have the highest integrity and wisdom infusing our efforts.

LandOS is Earthshot’s platform for enabling landowners to envision and manifest the regeneration of land they have stewardship over. Our strong intention is to build a product that inspires our customers to be bold, to delight and engage them while they envision the future possibilities of the land in ways never possible before. We are pushing the edge of the possible by combining the world’s first deep learning based global ecological land simulation with generative data visualization models in order to deliver on this vision. Earthshot is NSF SBIR funded and we are very proud of our partnerships with other leading environmental technology groups such as Frontier Development Lab, Regen Network, OpenGeoHub, Climate Farmers, and others.

What we are looking for is a passionate, heart-centered leader who is dedicated to building products that solve real world problems in innovative ways by applying functional and beautiful design principles. A leader who can guide a diverse range of people from different backgrounds working in different places, achieve coherence within the group and bring out each team member’s genius in service of the collective vision Here are some other traits we are looking for:

• Endlessly curious about technology and nature and able to quickly and joyously learn new technologies and ecological problem domains
• Has conceived, designed, developed and launched innovative technology products
• Shares a deep love for nature and helping to build a better more integrated future for humanity within it
• Passionate about delivering the best possible experience to customers - meticulous about all aspects of design
• A fascination with and deep technical understanding of machine learning applied to real world products
• Willing to work on whatever it takes to make the product work just right, be it front-end, server, documentation, tests, devops
• Sound design skills, the ability to strike the balance between pragmatism and envisioning future needs
• Clear and heartfelt communication skills, whether written or in groups of all sizes
• Ability to quickly relate to and build lasting working relationships with people of all kinds of personal and professional background, relating style, neurodiversity.
• We work in Django and React within a Google Cloud environment so experience with these is a plus
