To support our LEOP operation team at the Landau location, we are looking for you as an intern (m/f/d) in full-time (40h, limited to 6 months ) as a process engineer. Your mission
  • You are responsible for defining and building experimental setups (laboratory scale and pilot tests), as well as developing procedures for the equipment to be operated.
  • Performing heat, water, and mass balances in the different steps of the lithium extraction process is part of your tasks, in order to provide data for the engineering of the commercial plants. 
  • You are in charge of proposing improvements and optimizations for one or several steps of the lithium extraction process. 
  • Your responsibilities include collecting and analyzing data, as well as delivering high-quality reports (reports, presentations).
  • Writing documents to support the operation of the plant and the training of the operators rounds off your job profile.
Your profile
  • You are pursuing a master’s degree in chemistry or chemical process engineering.
  • You have an analytical and conceptual way of thinking that helps you successfully solve complex problems.
  • You are a hands-on person, interested in operating industrial equipment (after training).
  • You are motivated by chemical process development and optimization, and you are willing to learn.
  • You are motivated to be part of the decarbonization of the industry.
  • You are a team player and enjoy working in an intercultural and diverse environment.
  • You are ready to carefully learn and follow the safety rules defined at our operation plant LEOP.
