Job Description

We are looking for a rockstar Operations Manager who will build the local launch team and manage Zoomo’s expansion across France. Expect to wear many hats, work hand-in-hand with the European launch team, and have career coaching that will make all of your friends jealous.

The Operations Manager will report directly to the Head of Strategy for Europe during the launch phase and work hand-in-hand with the General Manager of France to grow the pie afterwards.

Requirements

The Operations Manager is a unique role. In the first phase of your time at Zoomo, you will be responsible for launch activities in the biggest French cities. You will be building the bike as you ride, but don’t worry, you will have a close-knit European team as your training wheels.

When the General Manager steps in, you will become their right hand and help manage the operation across all of France.

You will need to, among other things:

  • Recruit and train an amazing frontline team in every city
  • Get great deals on real estate for our warehouses
  • Manage relationships with some big-name customers
  • Make sure that we never run out of bikes and spare parts
  • Pick which projects to prioritise and make sure they get done
  • Work with European and Central teams on growth and strategy
  • Measure and analyse our operational metrics to make great decisions

ESSENTIAL SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3-5 years of experience in a strategic or operational role (e.g. operations at a start-up, management consulting, launching new products/processes/systems)
  • Problem solving is your passion - you love thinking about complex issues and executing against creative solutions
  • Personal and professional growth is one of your top objectives. You are ready to do what it takes and 10x not only the business, but yourself with the help of a supportive team
  • Data and analytics: you are data-driven and comfortable navigating sheets, pivot tables, and creating forecasts. Numbers are music to your ears
  • Clear communicator: you are comfortable working with diverse teams and always take care to make sure that you both understand and are understood
  • Passion: you believe in e-mobility, Zoomo’s mission, and our values

  • Proactive and passionate self-starter with bias towards action and constant prioritization.
  • Track record of “getting things done , Know when you have enough insight to make-a-call and apply the 80 / 20 rule – rapid high-quality decisions
  • Analytical - Able to ‘think big’ as well as execute ‘on-the-fly’
  • Strategic thinker - Can stay one step ahead when thinking about the impact of the changes
  • Adaptable fixer - enthusiastic, flexible & adaptable with the ability to remove barriers & bottlenecks via facilitation, creativity & resourcefulness.
  • Can build “stuff” - approaches, processes, tools and change methodologies
  • Inquisitive - infectiously curious, thoughtful and happy to question the status-quo
  • Has fun and enjoys working in a collaborative environment.
