Attorney

Redaptive, Inc. is seeking an Attorney to join our Legal team. As an Attorney at Redaptive you will be a member of an exciting and growing team and will be expected to work across cross-functionally on a variety of commercial and corporate activities.
This role will be based in India and will work closely with teammates across India and the US.

Job Responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate a wide variety of commercial contracts, including non-disclosure, energy services, consulting, partnership, financial and other agreements.
• Work as part of the legal team, and cross-functionally with other teams on a variety of commercial and corporate matters.
• Work closely with members of the legal, finance and commercial teams to develop scalable processes and procedures.
• Miscellaneous legal projects that arise within the legal team.

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• 3-10 years of law firm experience in a transactional legal role, with excellent drafting skills. 
• Ability to independently review, revise and negotiate with opposing counsel a wide variety of commercial agreements.
• Self-starter, can-do attitude combined with a strong sense of humility, collaborative working style, and ability to perform with little supervision.
• Ability to explain legal concepts to non-attorney in-house clients; and ability to understand and integrate business objectives into coherent and enforceable legal documents. 
• Ability to perform well under tight deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• J.D./LL.M degree and licensed to practice law in the United States and India.

• Additional skills that are relevant to the role:
• Experience with solar, energy services agreements and/or project finance.
• Experience with IP, real estate, finance and general corporate matters. 
• Interest / familiarity with energy efficiency.
• In-house/start-up experience.
• Excellent ability to learn and to wear multiple hats.
