About This Role

The Marketing team is responsible for establishing the Apeel brand on a global and regional level. We are seeking a Shopper Marketing Manager in the EU who will collaborate with internal and external partners to activate compelling shopper marketing programs that drive brand preference, selection and equity, as well as position Apeel as a sustainable food system leader in the European market. 

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the development and execution of shopper marketing programs in Europe built upon category and consumer insights, the Apeel global brand strategy, and customer objectives for key retail accounts. 
  • Manage brand integration at retail: orchestrate joint planning to develop account-specific programs, ensure successful program execution, monitor and report KPIs, and build and nurture relationships with retailer buyer and marketing teams.
  • Manage brand integration with suppliers: coordinate the incorporation of the Apeel brand on packaging designs and work alongside the sales team to communicate the added value of the Apeel brand to our supplier community. 
  • Bring your market insights and experience to create new opportunities for the brand as you work alongside your EU counterparts at Apeel 
  • Tap into EU grocer knowledge to recommend successful strategies and channels to reach their specific-shopper audiences to drive full funnel 360 activations to achieve awareness, consideration, purchase & advocacy of Apeel. 
  • Partner with brand marketing, shopper marketing, creative and agency partners to ensure the overall shopper marketing strategy is truly global in nature and can be localized for successful adoption in the European market. Manage international agency relationships for localization of campaigns and development of the European shopper marketing toolkit. 
  • Help establish and manage program production lead times in conjunction with product, sales, strategy, across internal marketing disciplines and with external print and media vendors.

What you bring 

  • 7+ years of marketing experience in a large-scale global organization and in dedicated shopper/trade/customer marketing roles, with CPG experience preferred
  • Fluency in English required, with additional fluency in EU languages preferred (e.g. Spanish, German, French, Dutch).
  • Prior experience working with growers, packers, shippers, and/or retailers across Europe to roll out integrated and innovative marketing campaigns is a plus.
